“My decision to pursue a Masters degree at MBS was not just a shock to everyone who knew me, but to myself too. From being born and raised in Thailand to completing my undergraduate degree in England in a dual-degree of BSc Language Science and Psychology, I was unsure what I wanted to do.
My plan was to work as a Speech Pathologist in Bangkok after the degree but as most of us know, nothing usually goes according to plan. I started working as Speech Therapist and quickly realised this was not the job I was looking for. 3 months later I started working in a start-up in Bangkok and never looked back.
Without much thought I spoke to my family about pursuing a Masters Degree in either England or Australia. Looking at the University of Melbourne business school ranking and the opportunities they offered made it an easy decision.
Fast forward one year and here I am starting my second year at MBS. Having just completed the Global Business Practicum during the winter term in Paris, I have gained practical experience, met some amazing people all the while completing an entire subject. This experience allowed me to learn more than I could ever imagine.
Coming to MBS may have been a shock to me at first but it is one decision I do not regret making. I have met life-long friends, learnt A LOT & grown as a person in the last year.
On that note, thank you MBS for the great opportunities and experiences. I can’t wait to see what this next year will bring!
