“As a born and bred Melburnian, Melbourne Business School was my natural first choice for my Master’s in Finance. With 14 out of 16 subjects completed, I can say it’s lived up to its reputation and more.
In particular, I’ve loved the exposure it’s provided both on campus and through the other programs and activities it encourages, including a trip to America to represent the university in a global health case competition, gaining exposure to investment bankers at the UBS head offices in the national finals of the UBS case competition and heading over to Paris for the global business practicum.
These activities have all helped me develop a practical link between the education and the workforce, which I plan to utilise in a career in IB.
My advice to incoming students would be to engage in as many activities that push you outside of your comfort zone as possible, because that’s where the growth occurs. Surround yourself with like-minded students, because aside from the academics, you’ll meet amazing people that will become lifelong friends.”
