Our Purpose
Who are we?
The Melbourne Business School Student Association (MBSSA) is among the largest student associations at the Melbourne Business School and the Faculty of Business and Economics (University of Melbourne) catering to the entire postgraduate student cohort there, who are automatically deemed members upon joining the school.
What do we do?
In our essence, we are a voluntary not-for-profit student association that works closely with the Faculty of Business and Economics to deliver high-quality social and professional events that bear a direct influence on our community members’ extra-curricular engagements at the university.
Our Events
Each semester, we work with faculty and industry professionals to host a wide range of events. These events range from our marquee social events such as our annual MBSSA Business Gala (Winter term) and the MBSSA Boat Party (Summer term) to our professional and career development focussed events such as our flagship events like the Business Fest and the Peer Mentoring Program. Additionally, MBSSA is also proud to be a co-host to the faculty’s annual MBS Case Competition.
Recognition for our Committee Members
We believe that our purpose at the MBSSA is to serve our student community and in the execution of the same, we recognise the enthusiastic contributions of our invaluable committee members through the university-backed Melbourne Plus Program that enables voluntary participants to get accredited for their service towards the association.
