THE MBSSA PEER MENTORING PROGRAM IS OPEN THIS SEMESTER 1 2021!
This program is designed as a bridge to connect current students with incoming students and eventually help them transit into life at MBS. Given current circumstances, we have designed the program to be a blend of online and in person weekly activities such that all can be accessed even if you’re not here in Melbourne with us!
Incoming students (mentees) will have the chance to learn from current students (mentors)
and develop their own understanding of MBS life, study tips, career development
opportunities and many more. For current students, this program allows them to reflect back
on their study experience in MBS and develop their mentoring skills.
Additionally, mentors receive a Certificate of Appreciation and will be able to direct dedicated hours towards the Leadership in Communities Award.
Open until Tuesday 2 March, end of the day
Thursday 4 March 2021
Introduction session via Zoom
Mentors and mentees will receive information about the program structure and the expectations of their participation. They will also be introduced to each other and can say hi!
In the following four weeks, the mentor-mentee pairs are invited to participate in weekly activities to make the interactions more dynamic and fun!
Friday 2 April 2021
We then draw a close to the program with a fun session where mentors/mentees can share their experiences and mentors receive their certificate of participation.
